Christmas / New Year 2004/5 photos

Shortly after returning to Auckland from my Christmas holidays down in Napier I uploaded all my photos to my flickr photostream, now come the lengthy process of deleting those that didn't actually come out that great and commenting/titling them all. I probably should have filtered them before uploading but I was in a hurry and wanted something online to show people.
I wish I knew how to take better fireworks/night photos. There's some excellent photos of the new years fireworks display - but they seem to look ALOT better as thumbnails rather than full size images; they're just lacking a crispness I'd like ( and the nightshot photos tended to come out somewhat grainy ).
I've been thinking of checking out some photography night courses, but they seen to either target full on SLR cameras, or "this is a digital camera, this is a computer, click here" type things. I'm sure theres a decent one out there somewhre...
