VENGEANCE To Reunite After 14-Year Hiatus - Apr. 28, 2004

posted Thursday, 29 April 2004
VENGEANCE (a.k.a. VENGEANCE RISING), the pioneering Christian extreme metal band, are reuniting after a 14-year hiatus. The group — Larry Farkas (lead guitar), Glen Mancaruso (drums), Roger Dale Martin (bass), Doug Thieme (guitar) — sans Roger Martinez (vocals, who has since become "a Satanist/atheist/whatever") will perform at Summer Madness 2004 on August 29 at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California. A surprise guest vocalist will fill in for Martinez. Rumors abound that the vocal duties will befall Scott Waters of ULTIMATUM, who is also performing that night. ULTIMATUM have covered VENGEANCE in the past, and their respective musical styles are said to be not too far removed from each other. Also appearing at Summer Madness 2004 are OIL, featuring DARK ANGEL frontman Ron Rinehart, and CARBON 9. For more information, visit www.roxxproductions.com.
Awesome news, it's a shame about Roger Matinez thou. And man - I hope these guys do a new album as well. Always loved the early Vengeance material.
